SOCIAL SERVICES/ACCOUNT COORDINATOR

Under the Clerk of the District Court/Auditor/Recorder, the Social Services/Account Coordinator position will be scheduled 24+ hours weekly with up to full-time employment available. Hourly pay offered this regular, part-time position is $27.33-$32.15, DOE/DOQ, plus exceptional pro-rated benefits including: PERSI retirement, excellent medical insurance for employees and their eligible dependents, and generous vacation/sick/holiday leave.  

Position is responsible for the management and administration of the County Services Division and takes direction from the County Commissioners regarding final determination of claims. Position works independently on actions, changes in law, procedures and practices associated with the County Assistance Program. Position supervises various accounting systems within the County and keeps the Clerk/Auditor/Recorder apprised of significant program changes and actions.  

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business AND at least five years’ relevant accounting and office work experience; two years’ supervisory experience; and at least one year social services work experience preferred. Proficiency in GAAP/GASB; familiarity with medical terminology; ability to gain knowledge of Idaho mental health laws and applicable Idaho code; veterans’ services, Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security claims. Excellent communication and customer service skills are a requirement of this position as well as the ability to maintain positive working relationships.

SENIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST

Position performs senior customer service duties designed to expedite legal services in the Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office. Position greets the public, answers phones, and prepares legal documents and correspondence for legal assistants and Deputy Prosecutors. Min. Qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent; graduate from an accredited college or business school with a certificate or degree in a secretarial field, preferred, though not required; and at least two years’ secretarial or general office experience OR equivalent combination of experience and education to perform the duties required. HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

The Nez Perce County Road Dept is actively recruiting for a Heavy Equipment Operator or Heavy Equipment Operator Apprentice to work out of the Gifford Shop. Starting hourly pay for Heavy Equipment Operators $22.27 -$26.20, DOE/DOQ. Heavy Equipment Operator Apprentice starting hourly pay is $21.21. Both positions receive exceptional benefits including: PERSI retirement, excellent medical/dental/vision insurance for employees and qualified dependents, and generous vacation/sick/holiday leave. Heavy Equipment Operators work under the supervision of the Area Foreman and will operate heavy equipment during construction, maintenance and repair activities on County roads and structures. Min. Qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent and at least two years’ verifiable work experience operating heavy construction and maintenance equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator position requires a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement. DEPUTY PROSECUTING ATTORNEY

The Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Prosecutor position. Position located in Lewiston, ID at the base of the Hells Canyon and the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers in the Lewis-Clark Valley. Lewiston’s relatively mild climate lends accessibility to a variety of outdoor recreational activities all four seasons. Lewis-Clark State College, the University of Idaho and Washington State University are all within 30 minutes of the LC Valley. The Valley is home to 60,000 residents and is served by a regional airport as well as two US Highways.  

Position primarily handles the prosecution of misdemeanor cases. Refer to Deputy Prosecutor I job description below for additional details on duties and responsibilities. DEPUTY COURT CLERK

Full-time position with the District Court. $18.68-$20.00/hr, plus exceptional benefits including: PERSI retirement, excellent medical insurance for employee and eligible dependents, and generous vacation/sick/holiday leave. Deputy Court Clerks independently perform a wide variety of duties to maintain court operations and facilitate records and information management requiring a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Position interacts with litigants, defendants, attorneys, representatives from other agencies and members of the public. 

Min. Qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent; Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or technical school in a related field; and at least two years’ clerical working experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the work required.
