FINANCE MANAGER/CONTROLLER

Full-time position with the Clerk/Auditor’s Office. Salary $58,448-$68,764, DOE/DOQ, plus an exceptional benefits package including: PERSI retirement, excellent medical insurance and generous vacation/sick/holiday leave.

Under the Clerk/Auditor, position is responsible for organizing, interpreting, and reporting the County’s financial data in concert with the elected Clerk. Position requires application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements. Position coordinates complex advanced accounting, auditing, recording and payroll system and serves as the primary General Ledger administrator Countywide. Min. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; five years relevant experience; proficient in GAAP and GASB; Certified Public Accountant Certificate; CGFM preferred, though not required; driver’s license. ON-CALL JUVENILE DETENTION SUPPORT TECHNICIANS

On-call positions available with the NPC Region II Juvenile Detention Center. Positions are paid $13.00/hour with no benefits. Primary responsibilities are to operate the control room and provide technical support. Min. Qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent; at least 21 years of age; two years post high school work experience/educational equivalent; no felony or violent misdemeanor convictions; good physical condition; willingness to work non-traditional hours; and ability to communicate effectively. Successful candidates must also be able to pass a background check.
