ELECTION EQUIPMENT TEST

A test to certify the accuracy of Nez Perce County election equipment is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2nd.  This test will be held at the Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main Street, in the Auditor Recorder's office.

Counting equipment to be used in the General Election will be tested.  The general public and members of the media are urged to attend.

ABSENTEE BALLOT RETURN DEADLINE

Absentee ballots for the November 8, 2022 General Election must be received in the Auditor Recorder’s office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 8, 2022 in order to be counted.  

Ballots may be returned by mail or hand delivered to the Nez Perce County Auditor Recorder’s office at 1230 Main St., Lewiston, ID.

Ballots received after 8:00 p.m. November 8, 2022 will not be counted regardless of postmark date.

EARLY VOTING CLOSES 
FRIDAY, November 4, 2022

Friday, November 4, 2022 is the last day for Nez Perce County residents who are unable to go to the polls on Election Day to early vote in-person for the November 8, 2022 General election.

The Auditor Recorder’s Office, Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main St. will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for early voting.

DEADLINE ON APPLICATIONS FOR 
MAIL-OUT ABSENTEE BALLOTS

Friday, October 28, 2022, is the last day applications for mail-out absentee ballots may be received by the county clerk for the November 8, 2022 General election.

All applications must be received by the Auditor’s Office no later than 5:00 p.m.

Voters who are unable to go to the polls on Election Day can early vote through Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Auditor Recorder’s Office, Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main St, Lewiston.

RIMROCK-23 PRECINCT MAIL-BALLOT INFORMATION

General Election

Ballots for the General Election were mailed to all eligible voters in the Rimrock-23 Mail-Ballot Precinct October 17, 2022. If you have not received a ballot and you are registered and eligible to vote, please contact the Nez Perce County Elections Department immediately.  

The last day to return your ballot is Tuesday, November 8, 2022 by 8:00 p.m

If you need to register to vote or re-register due to a name or address change, Election Day Registration and voting will be available at the Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main St, Lewiston, on November 8, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 34-602, Idaho code, that an election for electing candidates for Federal, State and County Offices, District Court Judges, Port Commissioners, and Supervisors of Nez Perce Soil Conservation District will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The polls will be open between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. of said day at the polling places designated below by the Board of Nez Perce County Commissioners.

Early voting for this election is available at the Nez Perce County Courthouse, Auditor’s Office, 1230 Main St, Lewiston, Idaho.

Notice is further given that in accordance with the Help America Vote Act of 2002, each of the polling places is accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Early voting is available at the Auditor Recorder’s Office, Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main Street, Lewiston, for the November 8, 2022 General Election.

Early voting is available through Friday, November 4, 2022.

Ballots can also be mailed to registered voters. Written requests for mail-out ballots must be received by the Auditor Recorder’s Office no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2022.

PRE-REGISTRATION CLOSES FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14th
FOR THE NOVEMBER 8, 2022
GENERAL ELECTION

Friday, October 14, 2022 is the last day for voters to pre-register at the Nez Perce County Auditor Recorder’s Office for the November 8, 2022 general election.

Prospective voters must be at least 18 years old and have lived in Nez Perce County for 30 days prior to the election.  A voter who is already registered but has had a name or address change must re-register.

Registration is available at the polls on Election Day for residents unable to register before the October 14, 2022 deadline.

October 14th:  Last Day to Preregister: Voter registration deadline for the Nov. 8th election.

October 28th:  Absentee Ballot Application Deadline: Applications must be received by the county clerk by 5 p.m. for the Nov. 8th election.
