Early Voting

Early Voting is now available at the Auditor/Recorder's office in the courthouse, 1230 Main St, Lewiston.  Early Voting will continue through Friday, November 3rd, at 5:00pm.   

Election Notices

ELECTION EQUIPMENT TEST

A test to certify the accuracy of Nez Perce County election equipment is scheduled for 2:30pm on Wednesday, November 1st. This test will be held at the Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main Street, in the Auditor Recorder’s office.

Counting equipment to be used in the City of Lewiston Election will be tested. The general public and members of the media are urged to attend.

EARLY VOTING CLOSING

Friday, November 3, 2023 is the last day for Nez Perce County residents who are unable to go to the polls on Election Day to vote early in-person for the following November 7, 2023 Elections.

The Auditor Recorder’s Office, Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main St. will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for early voting.

BALLOT DEADLINE

All ballots for the November 7, 2023 City of Lewiston Election must be received in the Auditor Recorder’s office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 7, 2023 in order to be counted.

Ballots may be returned by mail or hand delivered to the Nez Perce County Auditor Recorder’s office at 1230 Main St., Lewiston.

Ballots received after 8:00 p.m. November 7, 2023 will not be counted regardless of postmark date.

MAIL-OUT ABSENTEE BALLOTS DEADLINE

Friday, October 27, 2023, is the last day applications for mail-out absentee ballots may be received by the county clerk for the following November 7, 2023 elections.

All applications must be received by the Auditor’s Office no later than 5:00 p.m.

Voters who are unable to go to the polls on Election Day can vote early through Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Auditor Recorder’s Office, Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main St, Lewiston.

MAIL-BALLOT INFORMATION

City of Peck
Formation of Eagles Pointe Water and Sewer District

Ballots for the City of Peck and for the formation of Eagles Pointe Water and Sewer District Elections were mailed to all eligible voters October 16, 2023.  If you have not received a ballot and you are registered and eligible to vote, please contact the Nez Perce County Elections Department immediately.

Ballots must be received by Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. to be counted.

If you need to register to vote, or re-register due to a name or address change, Election Day Registration and voting will be available at the Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main St, Lewiston, on November 7, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

NOTICE OF CONSOLIDATED ELECTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN PURSUANT TO SECTION 34-602 AND SECTION 34-1406 IDAHO CODE THAT AN ELECTION FOR ELECTING CANDIDATES FOR CITY OFFICES AND FOR THE FORMATION OF EAGLES POINTE WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2023.

Ballots will be mailed to all qualified electors within the proposed Eagles Pointe Water and Sewer District approximately 2 weeks prior to the election.

Early voting for this election is available at the Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1230 Main St, Lewiston, Idaho.

Notice is further given that in accordance with The Help America Vote Act of 2002, each of the polling places is accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Friday, October 13, 2023 is the last day for voters to pre-register at the Nez Perce County Auditor Recorder’s Office for the following November 7, 2023 elections.

The Auditor Recorder’s Office is open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

A voter who is already registered but has had a name or address change must re-register.

Oct 13th:  Preregistration Deadline: Voter registrations must be received by the county clerk for the Nov. 7th election. (Deadline is 5 p.m. for paper applications or until midnight for online applications.)

Oct. 27th:  Absentee Ballot Application Deadline: Applications must be received by the county clerk by 5 p.m. for the Nov. 7th election.

Nov. 3rd:  Early voting ends at 5 p.m. for the Nov. 7th election.

Nov. 7th:  Absentee Ballot Return Deadline: Voted absentee ballots must be received by the county clerk by 8 p.m. for the Nov. 7th election.
