Chief Deputy Alan Johnson
Chief Deputy Alan Johnson comes to the Nez Perce County Sheriffs Office after serving 31 years with the Lewiston Police Department. When he retired from the Lewiston Police Department in January 2009, he was assigned to the Patrol Section as a Lieutenant. During his career at the Lewiston Police Department he spent 17 years in the Investigation Section, most of those as the supervisor or commander of the section. He also held the positions of Major Collision Team Director and the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Director. He was a member of the SWAT Team for over 20 years during his career at the Lewiston Police Department. Chief Deputy Alan Johnson has a Masters Certificate and Supervisor Certificate from Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). He is a graduate of Washington State University with a degree in Criminal Justice.
