Nez Perce County Volunteer Fire Fighter Application

COURT ASSISTANCE OFFICER

Full-time position with the District Court. Hourly pay offered is $22.65-$26.64, DOE/DOQ, plus exceptional benefits including: PERSI retirement, excellent medical/vision/dental insurance for employee and eligible dependents, and generous vacation/sick/holiday leave. This position assists self-represented litigants by providing assistance completing court forms; explaining court procedures; providing referrals to legal or other services; and by providing information, training and materials about self-representation to such litigants. District Court is a culturally diverse environment, and this position requires exceptional customer service skills while assisting people in crisis.    

Min. Qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent; Associate’s degree in a legal, social work or teaching field OR substantial work experience in the legal or social work fields may be substituted for educational degree. Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office programs and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Successful hire must be able to pass a background check. CIVIL DEPUTY PROSECUTING ATTORNEY

The Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office is recruiting a full-time Civil Deputy Prosecutor II. Position is located in Lewiston, ID at the base of the Hells Canyon and the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers in the Lewis-Clark Valley. Lewiston’s relatively mild climate lends accessibility to a variety of outdoor recreational activities all four seasons. Lewis-Clark State College, the University of Idaho and Washington State University are all within 30 minutes of the LC Valley. The Valley is home to 60,000 residents and is served by a regional airport as well as two US Highways.  

Position oversees and prosecutes civil and criminal forfeiture proceedings; carries out a broad range of complex civil legal assignments and limited criminal assignments under the direction of the Nez Perce County Prosecuting Attorney and Chief Civil and Criminal Deputies. JUDICIAL STAFF ATTORNEY

The Nez Perce County District Court located in Lewiston, ID is accepting applications for a Judicial Staff Attorney. Full-time, exempt position is paid $64,958 - $90,168 annually, and will receive exceptional NPC employee benefits including: PERSI retirement, excellent medical/vision/dental insurance, and generous vacation/sick/holiday leave. 
 
The Judicial Staff Attorney works under the supervision of an assigned District Judge. Position’s primary responsibility is to assist judges by conducting in-depth legal research, analyzing case records, filings and drafting legal memoranda, opinions and orders to help the Court efficiently resolve legal issues and manage its caseload. Successful candidate must have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law within the State of Idaho OR be immediately eligible for a limited license and able to take and pass the next available Idaho State Bar exam with continued employment contingent upon passing the Bar exam and licensed to practice law in the State of Idaho. Position primarily handles the prosecution of misdemeanor cases. Exempt positions paid $74,360 - $85,000 annually, DOE/DOQ. EXTRA HELP ON-CALL JUVENILE DETENTION SUPPORT TECHNICIANS

Extra Help Part-Time positions available with the NPC Region II Juvenile Detention Center. Positions are paid $17.00/hour with no benefits. Primary responsibilities are to operate the control room and provide technical support. Min. Qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent; at least 21 years of age; two years post high school work experience/educational equivalent; no felony or violent misdemeanor convictions; good physical condition; willingness to work non-traditional hours; and ability to communicate effectively. Successful candidates must also be able to pass a background check.
