APPRAISER

The Nez Perce County Assessor’s Office is seeking a full-time Appraiser. Hourly pay offered is $23.38-$25.99, DOE/DOQ, plus exceptional benefits including: PERSI retirement; excellent medical/vision/dental insurance for employees and their eligible dependents; and generous vacation/sick/holiday leave. 

Appraisers perform routine appraisals of real and personal property to determine market value for tax purposes. Min. Qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Willingness to acquire considerable knowledge of valuation and appraisal of real and personal property and experience using appraisal software applications. Experienced, Certified Ad Valorem Appraiser preferred and urged to apply. A successful Appraiser trainee candidate will earn a valid Idaho State Ad Valorem Appraiser Certification. DEPUTY PROSECUTING ATTORNEYS

The Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office is accepting applications for two full-time Deputy Prosecutor positions commencing employment October 1, 2024. Positions located in Lewiston, ID at the base of the Hells Canyon and the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers in the Lewis-Clark Valley. Lewiston’s relatively mild climate lends accessibility to a variety of outdoor recreational activities all four seasons. Lewis-Clark State College, the University of Idaho and Washington State University are all within 30 minutes of the LC Valley. The Valley is home to 60,000 residents and is served by a regional airport as well as two US Highways.  

Positions primarily handle the prosecution of misdemeanor cases. Refer to Deputy Prosecutor I job description below for additional details on duties and responsibilities. Exempt positions paid $73,000-$86,000 annually, DOE/DOQ. DEPUTY COURT CLERK

Full-time position with the District Court. $18.68-$20.00/hr, plus exceptional benefits including: PERSI retirement, excellent medical insurance for employee and eligible dependents, and generous vacation/sick/holiday leave. Deputy Court Clerks independently perform a wide variety of duties to maintain court operations and facilitate records and information management requiring a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Position interacts with litigants, defendants, attorneys, representatives from other agencies and members of the public. 

Min. Qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent; Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or technical school in a related field; and at least two years’ clerical working experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the work required. EXTRA HELP PART-TIME JUVENILE DETENTION SUPPORT TECHNICIANS

Extra Help Part-Time positions available with the NPC Region II Juvenile Detention Center. Positions are paid $15.00/hour with no benefits. Primary responsibilities are to operate the control room and provide technical support. Min. Qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent; at least 21 years of age; two years post high school work experience/educational equivalent; no felony or violent misdemeanor convictions; good physical condition; willingness to work non-traditional hours; and ability to communicate effectively. Successful candidates must also be able to pass a background check.
